Spend a day exploring the historic city of Alexandria, Virginia. From the cobblestone streets to its waterfront views, you'll be able to experience the best of what this charming city has to offer. Visit the Torpedo Factory Art Center, take a stroll around Old Town, and enjoy some delicious food at local restaurants.

FULL ITINERARY:

Day 1:

    • Start your day with a visit to the Torpedo Factory Art Center. This former munitions plant is now an art center full of galleries, studios, and public art. Take your time exploring the different galleries and don’t forget to check out the Alexandria Archaeology Museum!

    • Once you’re done exploring the Torpedo Factory, take a walk around Old Town. This historic district is full of charming cobblestone streets and 18th century architecture. Stop by Gadsby’s Tavern for lunch – they have some delicious sandwiches and salads!

    • After lunch, take a stroll along the waterfront for some beautiful views of the Potomac River. Don’t forget to stop by the Lee-Fendall House Museum for a unique look into Alexandria’s past.

    • End your day with dinner at Theismann’s Restaurant & Bar. This restaurant is located in an old firehouse and serves up some delicious comfort food.
