FULL ITINERARY:
Day 1:
- Arrive in Funchal and explore the city. Visit the Mercado dos Lavradores, a vibrant market full of local fruits, vegetables, and seafood. In the evening, take a cable car ride up to Monte for a stunning view of the city.
Day 2:
- Head to Porto Moniz and explore its famous rock pools. Stop by Seixal Beach for some sunbathing and swimming. In the afternoon, take a hike along the Levada da Rocha Verde, a scenic trail that winds through the Laurissilva Forest.
Day 3:
- Get your adrenaline pumping with a canyoning excursion in Ribeira de Janela. Afterward, head to Ponta do Sol for some rest and relaxation. Enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants and take in the beautiful sunset views.
Day 4:
- Spend the day exploring Santana. Visit its traditional houses and quaint churches, then head to Pico do Areeiro for some breathtaking views of the island.
